Heartland Family Service Raises Over $200,000 at Virtual “Carnival of Love” Gala to Help Vulnerable Individuals and Families

The “Carnival of Love” Gala is Heartland Family Service’s largest annual fundraiser, and all proceeds go to support more than 40 life-saving programs and services that Heartland Family Service offers to the thousands of clients served each year by the organization.

The Gala theme was “Love for All Seasons” and was hosted by the Heartland Family Service Friends Guild with Liz Hagestad and Natalie Petersen serving as the event co-chairs. Major event sponsors included American National Bank, CHI Health, Home Instead, Kiewit, Lockton, OPPD, and Valmont.

The “Carnival of Love” Gala ran from Feb. 9-12, and was presented by Master of Ceremonies and radio personality Dave Wingert, as well as co-host Mike Bunach. The online auction featured many premier items, donated by generous community members.

“Though the “Carnival of Love” Gala is over, you can still support those in need in our community by donating to Heartland Family Service at any time,” said Chief Development Officer, Marzia Puccioni-Shields. “Together, we can create a community of opportunity. So everyone can.”
