Heartland Family Service raised more than $295,000 to serve individuals, children, and families in our community at the annual “Carnival of Love” Gala on February 18.
The theme was “Carnival” and was hosted by the Heartland Family Service Friends Guild with Candy Golden and Chris Olson serving as the event co-chairs. Honorary Chairs were Amee and Ted Zetzman. We thank our major event sponsors: American National Bank, OPPD. CHI Health, Farm Credit Services of America, Lockton, Physicians Mutual, Ann and Ken Stinson, and Valmont. We also thank and appreciate all other gracious sponsors and donors who contributed to make the evening a success.
The “Carnival of Love” Gala was held at the Embassy Suites – La Vista Conference Center. Radio personality Dave Wingert was our master of ceremonies and Mike Bunach served as auctioneer. The highly successful auction featured many premier, sought-after items donated by generous community members.
The “Carnival of Love” Gala is Heartland Family Service’s largest annual fundraiser, and all proceeds go to support more than 40 life-saving services that Heartland Family Service offers to the thousands of clients served each year.
“We received such amazing support. The community showed us how much they value our mission and the work we do,” said Chief Development Officer Marzia Puccioni-Shields. “Through the “Carnival of Love” Gala is over, you can still support those in need in our community by donating to Heartland Family Service at any time.”
