The Heartland Family Service “So Everyone Can: Visions of Our Community” campaign brings awareness to our community through the visions of local artists who have painted their story of how a world without obstacles might look. Heartland Family Service is working toward this community of opportunity every day, and we’re so excited to share this vision with our community. So everyone can.
In 2021, Heartland Family Service proudly announced the artists of our “So Everyone Can” Campaign. Eight artists were chosen to paint six unique artworks in windows of business throughout the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metro Area. The window artwork was display October through December 2021.

Sedra D’
Sedra was born in Mexico City, and their art is in the style of graffiti murals.

Dany immigrated to the United States from El Salvador in the 90s. He views his art as creating freedom through his canvas.

Sue is an art teacher at Bryan High. She uses symbolic images such as the sun, stars, and hearts to portray love, kindness, and the feeling of home.

Each program under these categories builds a stable foundation for those we serve so they can push past obstacles and find success, whatever that may mean to them.
Many of these obstacles are not self-imposed.
They are a failing of our system.
That’s why, in addition to resolving barriers in people’s lives, we work to eliminate the cause for good.
To increase the effectiveness of Heartland Family Service, ensure our future sustainability and support the systemic changes needed to truly meet our mission, our Advocacy Taskforce proactively and strategically educates government decision-makers. The Taskforce makes sure they hear and understand the needs of the people and communities we serve, and that they support our efforts to make positive, lasting change.
