The 28th Annual Safe Haven Golf Tournament took place at the Eagle Hills Golf Course in Papillion, NE where over 120 golfers enjoyed 18 holes, as well as fundraising games throughout the course and exciting raffle and auction prizes, including a round of golf with Heisman Trophy winner, Eric Crouch. Jonathan Jameson, Senior Loan Officer at Mortgage Specialists, was the honorary chair for this year’s tournament.
“The 28th Annual Heartland Family Service Safe Haven Golf Tournament was a huge success,” said Marzia Puccioni Shields, Chief Development Officer. “We had a record turnout this year and are so pleased with the amount raised to benefit the lifesaving programs we offer to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.”
All proceeds raised from the Safe Haven Golf Tournament will benefit Heartland Family Service clients who participate in the agency’s Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault program, including the Safe Haven concealed emergency shelter. The gender-inclusive services offered by this program include crisis counseling, advocacy, therapy, legal and support services, and a 24-hour crisis line (800-523-3666).
Next year’s Safe Haven Golf Tournament is scheduled for Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Eagle Hills Golf Course.
