The Heartland Family Service “Strike a Chord” Gala will be a RIP-ROARING event!
Join Honorary Chairs Angela & Ryan Avis at the Heartland Family Service 18th annual “Strike a Chord” Gala, Roaring 20s fundraising event on June 10 at the Mid-American Center in Council Bluffs to help the individuals, families, and communities we serve through our programs and services in southwest Iowa.
The program will be the bees knees honoring Matt Walsh, Mayor of Council Bluffs, with the “Salute to Leadership” Award for his dedication to the community, & celebrating the success of Heartland Family Service client, Kathryn Hunter, our “Salute to Achievement” Award honoree. Attire is casual. If you choose, you can bop about in your zoot suit or flapper dress.

All proceeds from the Heartland Family Service “Strike a Chord” Gala will benefit our programs in southwest Iowa, including our K-12 Therapeutic School for students with major mental health diagnoses; housing and support services for families experiencing homelessness; professional mental health counseling for children and their parents; and prevention, education, and treatment for those struggling with substance use and problem gambling.
