Salute To Families 2022
November 10, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Dating back to 1981, the Heartland Family Service Salute to Families event honors Nebraska families and family advocates for their strong family life and community service. The Heartland Family Service Salute to Families event will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Happy Hollow Country Club.
The week of Thanksgiving was declared “National Family Week” in 1972, to “take time to honor and appreciate the many blessings of strong and healthy families.”
This night of awards and celebration is so important to Heartland Family Service, because several of our programs and services focus on creating healthy, safe, and strong families and homes.
The following families will be honored:
Sarah & Jay Helvey
Commitment to Family Honorees – Those who spend time together in shared activities that strengthen their family relationship and help children learn about life in general. In addition, emphasis is placed on the individual growth of each family member.
Kelly Lytle & Blake Anderson
Challenged & Successful Honorees – Those who have faced an obstacle or challenge that has affected their family to a significant degree and have still maintained a strong family life. Examples might include divorce, major illness, natural catastrophe, or death of a loved one.
Makayla & Kenny McMorris
Community Service Honorees – Those who have offered considerable volunteer service and have encouraged their children to learn about and accept responsibilities toward others.
Stacie & Rob Reed
Leadership Honorees – Those who have shown exceptional commitment to modeling strong family values to others in the community and are leaders in demonstrating personal support of community causes.
Annie & Ken Bird
Family Advocate – Those individuals, organizations, or groups who have worked tirelessly to uplift and strengthen children and families. They take a leadership role in presenting legislation, initiating organizational efforts, or raising awareness for issues in our community.
