Restorative Justice-Level II
The Heartland Family Service Restorative Justice program is designed to help youthful offenders, ages 12 to 18, acknowledge the harm their crime had on the victim and the community, and works to involve all affected by the crime in the resolution process. The goal of the Restorative Justice program is to repair the relationship, repair the damage, and prevent future crimes from occurring.
LEVEL TWO CLASS (Six-week)
This class is geared toward youth involved in more serious offenses (assault, gang involvement, theft, etc.) or those with multiple minor crimes (multiple shoplifting, property damage, MIP, etc.). The class includes guest speakers, an interactive, best-practices curriculum, community service, and the creation of an apology letter.
Mondays or Thursdays
Time: 5 – 7 p.m.
Location: Central Administration Office, 2101 S. 42nd St.
Fee: $150 (sliding fee scale available)
