Heartland Family Service is offering many of our services remotely. If you need to visit one of our locations in person, there are some things we ask you to keep in mind before leaving your home. Our employees ask everyone requesting services a few questions to screen them for COVID-19 symptoms.

Heartland Family Service is continuing to provide services during the COVID-19 pandemic and is accepting appointments from new and current clients. We have changed the way we are able to provide services for our community’s most at-risk children, individuals, and families by following the Centers for Disease Control’s guidelines.

For clients needing access our In-Home Services, Mental Health Counseling, or Substance Use Treatment programs who live in Nebraska, please call (402) 552-7400.

 For services in Iowa, call (712) 322-1407.

 For Homeless Prevention services, please call (531) 200-3500.

Please call and make an appointment before visiting one of our locations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you plan on visiting any Heartland Family Service location, please ask yourself the following questions before making the journey:

  • Do you currently have a fever?
  • Are you currently experiencing shortness of breath or difficulty breathing?
  • Do you currently have flu-like symptoms, including a cough?
  • Have you traveled 60 miles or more outside of the Omaha metro area in the last two weeks? If so, have you been around anyone who had a fever or flu-like symptoms, including a cough?
  • Have you been around anyone who has traveled outside of the U.S. in the last two weeks? If so, have you been around anyone who had a fever or flu-like symptoms, including a cough?
  • Have you been asked or recommended to self-quarantine within the last two weeks?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, please stay home. You will also be asked these questions in person when you visit any Heartland Family Service location.
