The Junior Friends is an organization
open to interested students who have completed their freshman year
of high school. This group is composed of socially mature teens
who want to deepen their commitment to volunteerism. The Senior
Prom is a terrific example of the types of special projects Heartland
Family Services conducts with the help of the Junior Friends. The
Senior Prom, which is hosted annually at our Senior Center, is an
event to remember for the seniors who utilize our facility. Junior
Friends arrange dinner, dancing, entertainment, and the selection
of a Prom King and Queen.
Junior Friends is a tremendous opportunity for teens
to learn about social work, obtain valuable leadership experience,
and to have fun helping others.
