Our agency provides a variety of services to protect children, help adults and strengthen families. We offer education, counseling and support to give people the assistance they need to get back on their feet and look toward a brighter future. Founded in Omaha in 1875, we continue to focus on the leading edge of human service. Today we serve 40,000 people annually in twelve counties. We give hope to Heartland families.

Friends,
On behalf of our staff and board of directors, welcome! Our website is designed to help, whether you're looking for dates and times of one of our many parenting classes, day-care provider training, and employment opportunities or an address to one of our 13 office locations throughout Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa.
If you would like to help us in our work with vulnerable children and families, please consider a donation. We help people with serious problems like child abuse, domestic violence, addictions, poverty and homelessness. Your partnership is important to us. Please take a look around our website and remember, "Helping people help themselves is the only kind of help that works."
Sincerely,
Pete Tulipana, ACSW, CFRE
